Sandstorms VII Hiei stifled a cry as his body hit the ground with a jolt. Pain racked his body as he felt the soilder’s boots grind into his back and their sweaty hands manhandle him to the ground, his face mashing into the dirt. Hesitantly, he cracked open one eye to see Kurama looking back at him.< Stupid fox. Run already. > He thought absently as he was hoisted up onto the back of a laughing soldier. He winced as his hands and legs were tied together, the last jerk on the ropes making him unconscious. `````````````````````````````` Hiei gradually opened his eyes. The smell of roasting meat met him with a shock, but he quickly schooled his expression as he realized where he was. He looked up out of the corner of his eye, seeing the soldier’s boots march back and forth in front of him....in front of Yushi’s tent. “ So, the pipsqueak is awake is he?” Hiei turned his head to look up at the soldier lurking above him. His eyes narrowed as he heard the comment, and his fists tightened in anger. “ I got you riled up didn’t I?” Hiei closed his eyes and turned to the otherside, determined to just ignore him so he would leave him alone. Quiet soon followed and lasted so long that Hiei gave a sigh of relief and unclenched his muscles. A breeze ruffled his hair and his eyes began to close.< How to get out of here? I’ll bide my time, then I’ll find Kurama. Shichi will take care of him til then. >He sighed, < Oh, Kurama... > He froze as he felt a calloused hand caress his back in wide circles. Hiei’s eyes widened and he felt his mouth drop open as the hand started to move lower to caress the small of his back, and then even lower. “ My beautiful demon, I’ve been so lonely for you.” The soldier wispered, turning his face toward Hiei’s. Suddenly his grip tightened on Hiei’s waist. “I’ll have you now.” Hiei snorted and calmly scooted over to put space between him and the soldier, fervently praying that that would be the end of this foolishness. But he was wrong. Hiei gasped as he was jerked to the side and he felt the soldier try and push him to the ground. His eyes narrowed in anger, and before he knew what he was doing, his hand came up and punched the soldier in the jaw, causing him to go flying against the side of the tent. “You son of a bitch!” The soldier yelled, enraged. His wispy gray hair floated around his face in tangles and his cheeks were flushed with anger. Hiei winced as he saw the hand go up, cursing at his tied up state. He closed his eyes. ‘SLAP!!’ Hiei blacked out. ``````````````````````````````` “Shichi?” Shichi turned to look at Kurama. She frowned at the look of despair in his eyes.< He must really be taking this hard. > “Yes? What can I do for you Kurama?” Kurama looked down at the sand beneath his feet, and then behind him, where Hiei was. “ I feel bad about asking your people for this ,but...” Kurama sighed, “ Could they really help Hiei?” “ Of course we’ll help you.” Shichi said,” You freed us remember?” She fingered her hair as she thought over the situation.< Yushi wouldn’t hurt him right? He’d just hold him for Kurama as bait. Right? > “ What is it?” “Huh?” Shichi asked surprised. “ Why do you have that pensive expression on your face?” Kurama asked hesitantly. “ Nothing.” Shichi whispered. She sighed as she felt the wind ruffle her hair. “ Everything will be fine. As soon as everybody is rounded up and checked over, we can proceed with our plan.” “Are you sure we can wait?” Kurama asked absently as he stared off into the distance. “ I have a feeling Hiei needs me.” Shichi frowned again at his expression. “ This is our only choice Kurama. You can’t go in there alone. They’ll spot you right away.” She suddenly chuckled, “ The only way you can get into that place is if you could shapeshift into an animal or something.” She turned to look back at him. “Kurama? Where did you go ?” He was gone. `````````````````````````````` Hiei groaned as he felt himself hauled up roughly and then dropped to the ground a few paces away. A dust cloud rose up, causing him to cough violently until he was dragged from the floor and to his feet. He stood there, silently, and waited to see what lied before him. < This is where Yushi comes to decide my fate. > He smirked,< At least he doesn’t have Kurama. I win this round. > “ I wouldn’t think you’d be smirking in the kind of situation you’re in.” Hiei turned toward the sound of the voice, to meet face to face with Yushi. His eyes widened slightly at the mad gleam in his eye, and his fists tightened at the remembrance that this monster had touched his Kurama! “ Now Hiei, don’t be upset,” Yushi whispered as he circled Hiei’s haggard form, “ We’re gonna have a lot of fun here until Kurama comes back to get you.” He smiled. Hiei blinked in shock.< What if Kurama does come back? Oh, stupid kitsune. > He looked up sharply as he felt Yushi come near him and growled as he grabbed his arm. “ What do you think you’re doing!?” “ Why, Hiei! I didn’t know you were that innocent,” Yushi pulled the struggling demon closer to him, “ All the better to eat you..OW!!” Hiei broke free, gasping for breath. He fell to the ground with a thump. “ You little...You bit me!” Hiei allowed himself a little smile of satisfaction before he got up off the floor. “You...you...” Yushi’s cheeks blazed with color as he tried to control his anger, “ You just made it worse for yourself boy!” Hiei watched as Yushi stomped out the tent to return a few seconds later. < Yushi was smiling ! > Hiei’s eyes narrowed. “ Guess what Hiei!” Yushi said slowly as he walked over to where Hiei was standing, “ My boys out there said they deserved a break. They said they deserved a little fun.” Yushi looked back to the entrance of the tent and smiled, “ A little fun with you. Guards!” Hiei fell back to the ground as the soldiers ran toward him, laughing. He struggled as they hauled him up from the floor, and shut his eyes as he felt their hands roam all over his body. His eyes snapped open as he saw the gray haired soldier’s grinning face. A dark bag was pulled over his head and that was the last thing he saw. `````````````````````````````` Hiei opened his eyes and saw... darkness. Darkness filled with human shapes on all sides. Their boisterous and rowdy cheers filled the tent with a din so loud he could hardly think. Suddenly, one stepped forth. He frantically struggled to get free of his bonds, but stopped when he realized it was useless. He was tied to the tent pole of this empty tent, it’s rough wood and splinters digging into his back every time he moved. He twisted his neck around to look toward the person who approached him. Hiei froze in shock. “ Who are you?” He shouted. His voice rivaled by the cheers of the soldiers crowding around him. No answer came, but the cheers only grew louder. The shape moved closer and closer to him until it was at the edge of the light. “ Don’t you know? I’m your first my little demon.” Hiei gasped as he was pushed roughly up against the tent pole, his back knocking against it roughly. “ Get off me!” The soldier chuckled, “ Make me.” The cheers of his comrades grew louder in encouragement. Hiei clenched his eyes tightly shut as he felt the soldier move against him.< Kurama I’m sorry. > `````````````````````````````` Kurama ran like the wind down the hill slope and into the campsite. No one paid any mind to a fox, even though he was a silver one with multiple tails. He stopped often to sniff the air, searching for any trace of Hiei. Finally, he found it. < Don’t worry Hiei. I’m coming. > Kurama raced into the tent... and froze. Hiei lay there on the floor, his bonds broken off his hands, and his clothes hanging in tatters. A black hood was laying on the floor a few feet away. He was covered in multiple bruises, and was breathing in small hitching breaths. Almost as if he were crying! “Kurama?” Kurama quickly shook himself out of his shock, and forced himself to stay calm. “ Hiei, I’m here,” he said as he rushed over to Hiei’s side. “ Are you okay?” “ Of course I’m okay! Stupid kitsune..” Hiei muttered as he rose up from the floor. “ Let’s go.” “Wait!” Hiei turned to look back at the kitsune, a shattered expression on his face. “ Please don’t ask.” Kurama grew silent. He knew what happened now. The worst thing that could of happened to his love. His fists clenched in anger. < Someone was gonna pay! > ``````````````````````````````` Yushi looked up in surprise as he saw Kurama walk into his tent. “ Well, well, well, what have we here?” He said with a smirk, “ Didn’t want your demon used now did you.” ‘Thump!’ ‘Thump!’ ‘Thump!’ ‘Thump!’ ‘Thump!’ ‘Thump!’ Yushi stared down in shock as Kurama threw head after head in his lap, at his boots, in his face, and at the wall. Gore now painted the tent an unhealthy shade of red. Yushi looked around him at the heads littered around the tent, their expressions frozen in horror. The heads of his own men. “ Um, Kurama....” “ Listen to me Yushi.” Kurama whispered as he leaned down to look Yushi in the eyes, “I may not be able to erase what happened to Hiei, but I can kill you.” Yushi gulped and shifted his eyes toward the tent entrance. “ But, how are you going to get water and supplies without me?” “Oh, We’ll find away.” Kurama whispered as he plucked a rose from Yushi’s bed of flowers. “ ROSE WHIP!” `````````````````````````````` Hiei opened his eyes groggily, then shut them as he saw Kurama looking at him intently. “ Do you want to talk about it?” “No! Just leave it the hell alone!” Hiei winced at the sound of his tone, and looked up to see Kurama’s hurt filled gaze. “Oh, Kurama, I...I’m...sorry...I...” “ It’s okay Hiei,” Kurama whispered, snuggling down to lay beside him, “ It’s okay.” They both grew quiet for awhile as they looked up at the stars above them. It was a clear night, and a gentle breeze blew across the sand, stirring up Kurama's hair only to set it back on his shoulders gently. He sighed,< These stars know so many secrets. But what is the secret to Hiei's heart? > “Kurama?” “Hm?” “Where are we?” Kurama smiled, “We’re in the desert.” Hiei snorted and entwined his arm with Kurama’s,< Stupid kitsune. > Kurama blinked at the gently touch of Hiei’s hand and blushed full force at the memory it dredged up. The memory of the night. There was no question in his mind. He loved this little fire demon. He slowly glanced over at Hiei, taking in his soft hair and smooth face. Kurama sighed as he saw his ruby eyes turned up at the stars, and his full mouth open in exhalation. < He's so beautiful... > “Hiei...I love you.” Hiei froze in shock. “What?” Kurama reached over to run his hand through Hiei’s hair, not being able to help himself. "I love you.” Hiei sat up quickly.< Kurama loves me? Why me? I know I love him, but... him loving me? > “What’s wrong Hiei?” Kurama asked hesitantly.< How does he feel about me? Did I just ruin our friendship? > “How can you love me?” Hiei asked quietly, “ I mean, I’m a forbidden child, and...after what happened..tonight...how..I mean...?” Kurama silenced him quickly. Grabbing his face in both hands and pressing his lips to Hiei’s. He sighed with contentment as he felt Hiei start to lean against him. Kurama opened his mouth to let Hiei in, and he groaned at the shiver that spread through his body. Hiei's tongue battled with his own for control in a heated match that left Kurama dizzy and wanting more. He gently nipped Hiei's bottom lip and smiled at the response he got from his fire demon. < My fire demon now...mine. > “Ai shiteru.” Hiei whispered. Kurama’s eyes closed and he leaned into Hiei, toppling them both to the ground. He ran his hand down Hiei’s neck, pressing kisses on the spots where Hiei had been abused. “Oh, Kurama..” Hiei moaned Suddenly, Kurama stopped. “ Hiei. I just thought of something!” Hiei growled and struggled to pull him back down, “ Why do you have to think so much Kurama?” “ But, I was thinking, we never did find that articfact did we?” Kurama asked as he looked over at Hiei. Hiei stilled as he remembered their mission, and the way Botan nervously managed to skip over important details...and Kurama's potion. His eyes glinted with desire as he looked over at the flush faced kitsune and he slowly pulled him to the ground. < I'll deal with Botan later. > Hiei ran his hand through Kurama’s hair lovingly, “ I have a sneaking suspicion we weren’t meant to.” " What do you mean by...HmP!" Kurama was quickly silenced as his lips were fiercely pressed against by Hiei's own. All thought quickly left his mind as he lay there with his fire demon and let the desert wind blow over them, covering their wild sandstorm. ~owari~
